The Finest Natural Shades

Hand-woven from bamboo, jute, ramie, flax linen and reed. Every panel is unique — a quiet play of light and texture drawn from the natural world.

The Finest Natural Shades
01 · How it moves

Rises in folds. Lowers to a flat panel.

Natural shades are engineered as a Roman-style panel — the fabric gathers into soft, even folds as it lifts, and returns to a taut, uninterrupted plane when fully lowered.

Every shade is built to your specified width and length in our Vernon workroom on a choice of headrail systems — standard aluminum, wood-wrapped, or motorized. Options below stack freely: choose a style, a liner, an edge treatment, a return detail, and a control system to arrive at a fully specified shade.

02 · Fabric library

Woven from raw materials. Never printed.

Over 80 curated fabrics across five deck ranges, hand-woven from bamboo, jute, ramie, flax linen, reed and grasscloth. Because every reed and every fiber is unique, no two panels are exactly alike — a signature of the collection, not a flaw.

01
Bamboo

Warm grain, honeyed light

02
Jute & Ramie

Coarse weave, matte body

03
Flax Linen

Soft drape, papery hand

04
Reed

Architectural, open weave

05
Grasscloth

Fine texture, painterly tone

03 · Shade styles

Three silhouettes. Inside or outside mount.

Style dictates how the shade meets the top of the window and how the fabric behaves when fully lifted. All three options are available with any fabric in the collection.

Natural shade styles: standard, waterfall, and top-down bottom-up
01

Standard

With valance

The shade folds behind a headrail valance for a tailored, cabinet-like finish. Available for inside or outside mount.

02

Waterfall

No valance

Fabric cascades cleanly off the front of the headrail — no visible hardware, no seam. Best for modern rooms.

03

Top-Down / Bottom-Up

Dual travel

Lower from the top for daylight, raise from the bottom for privacy. Cordless on both carriers.

04 · Liner options

Tune light and privacy at the source.

Every natural shade can be ordered unlined to celebrate the raw weave, or lined to add privacy and light control. Fixed liners are attached to the shade body; a movable liner travels on its own carrier for room-by-time flexibility.

No Liner
No Liner

The raw beauty of the weave — soft light passes through the fibers.

Light-Filtering
Light-Filtering

Adds diffusion and daytime privacy without darkening the room.

Room-Darkening
Room-Darkening

Blocks direct light for bedrooms, media rooms and nurseries.

Movable Liner
Movable Liner

A second, independent liner that travels separately from the shade.

05 · Edge binding

A finished edge. A resolved corner.

Edge binding is sewn along both sides of the shade and, on standard styles, along the valance — required on select loose-weave fabrics and available on the rest. Pair with a matching return to conceal shade components at the wall.

01
Twill Edge Binding
Twill Edge Binding detail

Crisp cotton twill in curated neutrals — a tailored, architectural edge.

02
Linen Edge Binding
Linen Edge Binding detail

Soft flax linen tape — a relaxed, tone-on-tone finish with natural hand.

03
Faux Silk Edge Binding
Faux Silk Edge Binding detail

A subtle satin luster along the perimeter — dressed for formal rooms.

04
No Edge Binding

Raw selvedge — celebrates the natural fiber edge.

Returns

For outside-mount shades, specify a return in either edge-binding material or shade material. Returns wrap the side of the headrail to create a clean corner against the wall and hide any exposed hardware.

06 · Control systems

From the hand to the whole home.

Five ways to operate a natural shade — from a simple pull to a scheduled scene. All motorized options are compatible with the leading smart-home platforms through the Pro Hub.

01

Cordless

Lift or lower by hand. Hem grips keep the bottom bar clean in operation and eliminate exposed loops for child and pet safety.

02

Continuous Loop

A metal chain clutch for larger shades. Ships with a compliant cord tensioner that anchors the loop to the wall or jamb.

03

Easy Wand Motorization

A discreet motor housed in a side-mount wand. One-touch operation, USB-C charging, three-to-six-month battery.

04

Remote Control

Hand-held remote paired with a lithium-ion motor, wired DC, or an external battery pack. Group multiple shades on one channel.

05

Home Automation

Bridge to Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, Control4, IFTTT and Siri Shortcuts through the Pro Hub or an OEM bridge.
