Signature fabric Romans gather into soft, ordered folds as they lift and return to either a flat plane or a hobbled cascade when fully lowered. Every shade is cut, sewn, pressed and inspected in our Vernon workroom.
Configuration is modular: choose a panel style for the face of the shade, a shade style for the headrail, a liner, and a control system. Fabrics, headrails and controls stack freely — arriving at a fully specified shade in six decisions.
Five panels. Five distinct silhouettes.
Panel style determines the face of the shade — whether it reads as a smooth continuous plane, a tailored rhythm of horizontal seams, a cascading Roman fold, or a softly curved relaxed hem. Any panel pairs with any fabric in the collection, with the noted exception of hobbled (waterfall only).
Flat
A single, uninterrupted plane of fabric. Seamed liners include a hidden rib for support — on light-filtering shades, the rib may cast a soft shadow when backlit.
Plain Fold (Knife Pleat)
Ribs are sewn into pockets on the back of the shade, producing a crisp horizontal seam on the face for a tailored, architectural rhythm.
Front Ribbed
Ribs are inserted through pockets on the front of the shade — a deliberate, structural detail that reads as fine horizontal banding when lifted.
Hobbled
Extra fabric in each fold keeps the sculpted Roman silhouette even when fully lowered. Available in waterfall style only; may require light dressing after install.
Relaxed Roman
A gentle, billowing curve along the bottom hem creates an effortless, romantic silhouette. The shade raises into relaxed folds while the bottom edge stays softly draped — ideal for bedrooms and formal living spaces.
Waterfall or valance headrail.
Shade style is how the fabric meets the top of the window. Waterfall — our default — runs the fabric off the headrail with no visible hardware; valance style adds a fabric valance for a tailored front.

A curated library of sophisticated textures and jacquards in trend-forward colorways — chosen to bring contemporary style to a classic shading form. Every fabric is available across all five panel styles.
Unlined, privacy, or blackout.
Choose the liner that matches how the room lives. Unlined keeps the weave luminous and airy; privacy lining adds soft diffusion and daytime coverage; blackout lining turns a Roman into a true room-darkening shade.
Unlined
The face fabric alone — sheer, breathable, and closest to the weave's natural character. Best for spaces where filtered daylight and airy texture matter more than privacy.
Privacy Lined
Our standard liner. Softens direct sun, adds daytime privacy, and gives the shade a resolved, tailored hand without darkening the room.
Blackout Lined
A dense, opaque liner for bedrooms, media rooms and nurseries. Blocks direct light while preserving the face fabric's texture.
On flat panels, seamed liners include a hidden rib for support. When backlit with a privacy or unlined construction, the rib can read as a faint horizontal shadow — an inherent characteristic of the construction, not a defect.

Six ways to operate a Roman — from a simple pull to a scheduled scene. All motorized options are compatible with leading smart-home platforms through the Pro Hub.
Cordless
Lift or lower by hand — no exposed cords or loops. Child- and pet-safe by design; ideal for low-traffic living rooms and bedrooms.
Clutch (Cord Loop)
A continuous nylon cord loop color-matched to the fabric, or a stainless-steel chain. Ships with a compliant wall tensioner that must be installed.
Top-Down / Bottom-Up
Lower from the top for daylight, raise from the bottom for privacy. Both carriers are cordless. Available on Knife Pleat panels.
Remote Control
Hand-held multi-channel remotes paired with lithium-ion motors, wired DC power, or an external battery pack — group shades on one channel.
Home Automation
Bridge to Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, Control4, IFTTT, RTI and Siri Shortcuts through the Pro Hub or an OEM controller.
