01 — Design Vision

One room. Two expressions of light.

The same fabric frames the architecture when open and reveals its relationship with daylight when drawn.

Two long Tranquil Oasis drapery panels gathered at the sides of a double-height living-room window wall.
The open view · Panels gathered at the sides of the window wall. Supplied retouched presentation photograph.
Drawn unlined draperies transmitting daylight over two levels of glazing, with a darker horizontal band over the wall between them.
The drawn view · Light follows the glazing, with a darker band over the wall. Supplied retouched presentation photograph.

A clear view when open

The panels gather at the sides, leaving both levels of glazing and the room’s full height visible.

Light that follows the window

The bright upper and lower areas align with the glazing. The darker band between them corresponds to the wall behind the fabric.

Let the material stay itself

Natural variation, translucent areas and the shadows within each fold are part of the appearance to discuss with a client.

Visual observations from the supplied installation media. The order specifies no liner; no privacy or blackout rating is established here.

02 — In Motion

See the fabric find its form.

A photograph shows the finish. Movement adds the scale, the changing light and the way the fabric settles.

The supplied installation video shows the panels being opened and closed by hand. Watch the folds spread and gather without changing the original movement.

03 — The Order Story

A small word. A different count.

The most useful lesson in the correspondence was how a quantity field and the word “Pair” left room for two interpretations.

The original form entry

Qty 2 + Pair

The written confirmation read this as two pairs: four physical panels.

The clarified design intent

2 panels total

The dealer intended one left panel and one right panel, closing toward the center.

Count the physical panels.
Then describe how they draw.
Design discussion

Choose the heading with the hardware in view.

Pleat runners had already been selected. The conversation therefore focused on a compatible pleated heading, and X-pleat was recommended and accepted for this setup.

July 28–29, 2026

Separate the outer edges from the center closure.

The email exchange confirmed no returns, explained 2-inch side hems, and retained the requested 3½-inch center overlap.

July 30, 2026

The quantity interpretation became visible.

The written confirmation described two pairs and four panels. That wording made the difference from the dealer’s intended arrangement explicit.

August 1, 2026

Clarify the count and the width of each side.

The dealer requested two panels total. The follow-up exchange confirmed a left and right panel, each specified at 91⅜ inches, and a combined stated width of 182¾ inches.

04 — Fabric & Specification

Label the width. Then add it up.

The messages clarified two specified panel widths. Keeping that description attached to the numbers is just as important as the numbers themselves.

Left panel
91⅜″
Right panel
91⅜″
Combined nominal panel width
182¾″

Height on the order form: 218⅞ inches.

A width needs a definition. The 182¾-inch figure is the confirmed sum of the two stated panel widths. It is not a verified rod span, raw fabric width or net closed coverage. Confirm the measurement basis, fullness and fabrication allowances separately.

At the outer edges

No returns

The email explained a 2-inch side-hem finish when a wrap back toward the wall was not requested.

At the center meeting point

3½-inch overlap

The overlap was retained as a separate detail. The records do not define its allocation to each edge or how it is included in the finished widths.

Check the footer, too. The order row said “Non-returns,” while an automatic note elsewhere said “OB+returns.” The later email explicitly confirmed no returns. Selected options, defaults and written instructions should agree.

Documented project specifications

Order entries and later clarifications; not independently verified as-built measurements.

Good questions. A clearer confirmation.

Use these six checks before requesting a final written confirmation. They turn the lesson from this project into a repeatable review.

Source notes & editorial scope

This anonymous educational review is based on the supplied order request, email exchange, message screenshots and installation media. Correspondence has been translated and summarized in English. The original correspondence is not included in this package.

  1. Order request, dated July 22, 2026, and its supplied screenshot. Supports the fabric designation, X-pleat heading, no liner, height, initial quantity/pair entry, tie-band selection and conflicting returns default.
  2. Heading-selection message exchange; date not visible. Supports the discussion of already-selected pleat runners and the recommendation and acceptance of X-pleat for this setup.
  3. Email correspondence, July 28–30, 2026. Confirms no returns, the explanation of 2-inch side hems and the retained 3 1/2-inch overlap. The July 30 message states two pairs / four panels. Dimensions in an unrelated illustrative diagram were not used.
  4. Message exchange, August 1, 2026. Documents the request to correct the interpretation to two panels total, one left and one right, and confirms the combined stated width of 182 3/4 inches.
  5. Supplied installation media. Two retouched presentation photographs and a video of manual opening and closing. The packaged video retains the full visual sequence at its original speed and framing; audio and source metadata were removed for this presentation.

What is documented

The order entries, design discussion, edge-detail confirmation and later clarification of panel count and widths.

What is not established

A revised factory confirmation, production-change completion, delivery timing, as-built measurements or a customer-satisfaction outcome. The height is project-specific, not a general product limit.

Presentation images are not a color standard or a substitute for a physical sample. No fabric composition, fullness ratio, privacy rating or performance certification is inferred. The checklist and example wording are recommendations derived from the case.
